Snow Haikus

Yesterday in Lawrence was our first snow. Inspired, the students wrote Haikus describing the moment.

Printed in the paper:
Dreamy, peaceful, fun
Frosty flakes freefall from clouds
A gorgeous first snow

By Mika

Today; the first snow
White flurry, dancing snowflakes
melting on the ground
By Christina, Elijah, and Cale

Truly aneuf
Now is the flurry of heavy frost
Dead are the crops
By Isaac

Peacefully it falls
Snowflakes dancing all around
Beauty falling down

Through forsted cold snow
Dancing flakes float here, there
White snow bringing hope
By Ana

Crashing to the ground
So fast like they are dancing
But nice all the same

Beautiful dancing
Amazing, fun, excited
Millions of snowflakes

Flurries dancing in the wind
The first peaceful flakes

Falling from the sky above
It makes me sleepy

Drifting on the chilly wind

The bitter freezing wind
